Bidisha Siddique, the former wife of Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad, has bid an emotional farewell to her ex husband posting a facebook status on Sunday.
"We’ll no longer meet in this life. You departed while I am at Ajmer Sharif. It seems more peaceful for you than suffering. Hope to meet in another world, where there will be no politics,” she wrote in her facebook post expressing deep shock over the death.
Bidisha, who is now in India, also put a black badge on profile picture replacing the previous photo of Ershad and their son Eric.
The wedding of deposed military dictator Ershad with Bidisha made headlines in Bangladesh more than 15 years ago. They have a son named Shahta Zarab alias Eric Ershad.
Several years later, Ershad and Bidisha got divorced. They were involved in a row over taking custody of Eric.
Bidisha used to visit Ershad's ‘President Park’ residence at Dhaka’s Baridhara to meet her son.
