BIDA to provide coordinated ‘One Stop Service’ to ease business

BIDA executive chairman tells a workshop

The investors will have to be given coordinated One Stop Service (OSS) services from a lone platform so that they can avail every sorts of services related to investment through easy access, said Executive Chairman of BIDA, Lokman Hossain Mia.

He said the OSS of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority  (BIDA) will be developed as a smart OSS.

Lokman Hossain Mia was addressing a workshop organised by BIDA at its multipurpose hall on Tuesday on the current situation of OSS, its challenges and integration.   

BIDA Secretary, Dr. Khondoker Azizul Islam presided over the workshop. Addressing as the chief guest, Lokman Hossain said 'Prime Minister has given us a vision of building Smart Bangladesh by 2041, so all the services must be turned smart and keeping this in view we will develop OSS in a smart way'   

While addressing, Dr. Khondoker Azizul Islam said the OSS will be established in a way where there will be a preserved database, artificial intelligence and use of catboat also there will be way  of easy access to other service providing institutions through one window. 

"We need to use Advance Front Technology to make smart BIDA and OSS", he added.     This is to mention that BIDA launched OSS early in 2019 in a bid to provide all sorts of supports to the local and international investors from a lone service point.

Currently BIDA's 18 and 22 other organisations have a total of 63 services which are provided through One Stop Service of BIDA.

BIDA Director Genera Shah Mohammad Mahbub delivered address of welcome in the workshop while Director General Jibon Krishno Shaha made a power point presentation on the OSS.
