Bicycles distributed among ethnic students in Jhenaidah

Cash incentives were distributed among the insolvent cultural activists, while bicycles were distributed among the students of ethnic community on Sunday morning. Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila Parishad organized the programme in the office room of upazila Parishad chairman.

Jhenaidah Sadar upazila Parishad chairman Abdur Rashid Advocate, Upazila Nirbahi officer (UNO) SM Shahin, Upazila Shilpakala academy general secretary Nazim Uddin Julias and drama personality Rubel Parvez among others present.

Drama artists, musicians and singers received an incentive for an amount of Taka 2,500 each, while the bicycles were distributed among the girl students belongs to aboriginal community.

Upazila Parishad chairman Abdur Rashid Advocate and UNO SM Shahin in their speech said the government has been doing something for the well being of the distressed cultural activists throughout the country to stand by them in their needs when the global pandemic corona virus was grabbing the world one after with new variants. The government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been facing the challenges with her all efforts to combat them.

 In the other hand the government has been also inspiring the students of under privileged families and communities providing their transports like bicycles which will help them stand by own and build self confidence day by day. Further, it will also save the daily transport cost for traveling, they said.
