Rashed Rabbi of Daily Amader Somoy has been elected president and Mainul Hasan Sohel of Daily Inqilab as general secretary of the Bangladesh Health Reporters’ Forum (BHRF) for the next session.
The new committee was announced at BHRF’s bi-annual general meeting held at a hotel at Karwan Bazar in the capital on Friday (December 24).
Hamim-ul Kabir of Daily Naya Diganta and Sebika Debnath of Daily Bhorer Kagoj have been elected vice-presidents of the newly formed committee.
Joint secretary is Barun Kumar Das of BSS, while finance secretary Byazid Munshi (Bhorer Dak), organising secretary Mahmud Komol (Massranga Television),and office secretary Hasan Misbah (Independent Television.
The other office-bearers of new committee are publicity and publication secretary Asif Shaon (Borer Kagoj)
The members of the executive committee are Jannatul Bakeya Keka (Channel I), Diner Sultana (Bangladesh Television), Labuni Guha Roy (Deepta TV), Ainal Hossain (Ajker Patrika), Anwar Hossain (Nagorik TV) and Md Al Amin (Daily Sun).
