Ever since the trailer of ‘Bhootchakra Pvt. Ltd.’ has released it has grabbed eyeballs and has already crossed a staggering 3 Lakh views within such a short span. Directed by Haranath Chakraborty and produced by Surinder Films, the film chronicles around three close friends who end up with a mysterious antique device that can catch ghosts! Interestingly, they start a business with it.
However, things get creepy when ghostly encounters make their life difficult. The horror comedy featuring Soham Chakraborty, Gaurav Chakraborty, Bonny Sengupta, Rittika Sen, and Srabanti Chatterjee is eyeing a summer release. Before the film hits the theatre the trailer is already creating ripple among the Bengali movie buffs.
So far we have seen many Bengali horror films made based on ghost stories from Bengali literature. Director Haranath Chakraborty’s earlier horror comedy ‘Chhayamoy’ was also an adaptation but this time he has assured ‘Bhootchakra Private Limited’ is not a remake or adaptation. Haranath Chakraborty’s last directorial ‘Dharasnan’ featuring Rituparna Sengupta received mix reactions at the box office last year. —E Times
