Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) wants to organize the playoff match to decide the title of Premier Hockey League between May 10 and 13. The federation is going to take strict punitive decisions against the teams, players, coaches and club officials who created chaos in the league.

Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the federation Mominul Haque Saeed said about the plan for the franchise hockey league. The federation will be wary of players getting paid in franchise league.

BHF has not found the champion team even though all the matches of the league are over.

Abahani and Mohammedan faced each other in an unwritten final in the last premier league match.

However, in the middle of the match, the players of the two teams engaged with fight and the match was postponed. In the end, Abahani was declared the winner after the decision of the Mohammedan umpire was not accepted. And as the top two teams Abahani and Mariner Young’s have equal points in the table, the federation decided to settle the title through playoffs according to the bylaws of the league.

The two clubs refused to play the playoffs as the players of both teams were outside the country. The federation wants to organize the playoff matches as soon as the players return home.

General Secretary said, “There are some defense systems. Since they have taken our players, the games will remain under their control until they send us a note. We will write to the clubs only after the defense note is received. We will send a letter to the clubs with our target being any day between the 10th and 13th.

Controversy about the hockey league has not decreased this time. The general secretary said that strict action will be taken against those who tried to make controversial. In that case, the traditional club Mohammedan can get a big punishment.

Mominul Haque Saeed said, “Our disciplinary committee has given a report on the entire tournament. Those who caused chaos, coaches, players are all coming under punishment.”

The federation is planning big with the franchise league. However, the players have not received the same amount as last time. Federation general secretary removed the old bully before organizing the new event.

Saeed said, “We are trying our best to ensure that there is no gap in the upcoming tournament.”

Meanwhile, BHF wants to organize franchise hockey league with six teams.
