Versatile model-actress Ashna Habib Bhabna will be seen acting in a new tele-drama titled ‘Maapkathi’. With the story written by Matia Banu Shuku, the drama is directed Md Robiul Shikdar.
In the tele-drama, Bhabna will portray the character of Tishita opposite a newcomer artiste named Shams Uddin Chowdhury.
Regarding the drama, Robiul Shikdar said, “Nowadays, the basic structure of making is not followed in directing a drama.
Everyone, in their own ways, is writing and directing the dramas. I have tried to follow the structure while making ‘Maapkathi’”
Bhabna said, “I always have a special fascination towards the dramas written by Matia Banu Shuku as most of her writings contain the uniqueness what I always look for.
Robi Shikdar has always been by her side for a long time. As I really care about him, I agreed to work in his drama. He directed the drama with dedication.
However, it is true that artistes should come forward to encourage the new directors. As a result, the new talents will make a great impact in the arena of direction.”
The tele-drama ‘Maapkathi’ will be aired on a satellite TV channel soon, the director informed.
Apart from this, Bhabna is working regularly in Nazrul Islam Raju’s drama 'Ghumanta Shohor’, and SA Haq Aliq’s ‘Jaegir Master’. The dramas are being aired on Bangla Vision and NTV, respectively.
