BGMEA President Faruque Hassan visited the shrine of HazratHussain (RA) in the city of Karbala, Iraq.
He met Ahmed Al-Fahd, Head of the Relations Department, the shrine of Hazrat Hussain (RA).
Ambassador of Bangladesh to Iraq Fazlul Bari; Mohammed Nasir, former Vice President (Finance), BGMEA; Nazrul Islam, former Director, BGMEA; Sharmeen Hassan Tithi, Director, Giant Group; Mohammed Shohel, Managing Director, Bangla Poshak Ltd; Mohd Shawket Hossain, Director, Bangla Poshak; and Nisher Khan, Managing Director, Banika Fashion Ltd were also present on the occasion.
They also visited the shrine of Hazrat Abbas (RA) and met Syed Mohammad Dalu, head of the Relations Department at the shrine.
During the meeting, Faruque Hassan requested Ahmed Al-Fahd and Syed Mohammad Dalu to employ more Bangladeshi people in the welfare works carried out by the authorities of both shrines.
He also requested them to buy garments made in Bangladesh for the staff of the shrines.
They prayed for the wellbeing and prosperity of Bangladesh and its people including the members of BGMEA.
