BGMEA and Chattogram Industrial Police will work together in industrial factories to solve possible problems in payment of salaries and bonuses and arrears of industrial workers on the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
An exchange meeting was held on Wednesday morning at BGMEA building conference room under the initiative of Industrial Police-3, Chattogram.
Industrial Zone Police Superintendent of Police Mohammad Sulaiman, BGMEA First Vice President Syed Nazrul Islam, BKMEA Director Gazi Md Shahidullah, Bepza CEPZ KEPZ, Directorate of Inspection of Factories and Institutions and representatives of various industries and trade union leaders were present in the exchange meeting. According to the owners, they expressed hope that the salary-bonus and other dues of the industrial workers will be paid within the next 20 April.
Meanwhile, the Superintendent of Police of Industrial Police, BGMEA, BKMEA leaders, all owners and labour leaders called upon the workers to show cooperation and responsible attitude in getting salary and bonus and Eid leave before Eid.
