BGB destroys drug worth Tk 2cr in Moheshpur

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) destro­yed huge contra banned drugs including 32 thousand bottles of Phensedyl syrup on Sunday. The drugs were destroyed in presence of senior officials of various departments. Approximate price of the drugs was Taka 1.88crore

BGB 58 battalion assistant director Nazrul Islam Khan said before destroying the contra banned, seized from Moheshpur and Chaudanga BGB commanding areas, they organized a discussion meeting at the headquarters where BGB south-western region commander Jakir Hossain, Kushtia sector commander Zia Sadat Khan, BGB 58 battalion director Qamrul Ahsan, executive magistrates from Jhenaidah and Chuadanga, narcotics department officials, police officials, BGB personnel and journalists were  present.

BGB 58 battalion assistant director Nazrul Islam Khan informed the media activists that there was 32 thousand bottles of Phensedyl syrup, 107 bottles of dialux DC syrup, 4,000 bottles of liquor, 156 kilogram hemp, 1,017 Yaba pills which was smuggled in from neighboring India.
