Director General (DG) of Boarder Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Sunday.
After laying the wreath, the BGB chief stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu.
Later, he offered Fateha and joined a munajat seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his family members who were brutally killed on August 15 in 1975. He also prayed for good health and longevity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Later, AKM Nazmul Hasan signed the visitor’s book kept at the administrative building of the mausoleum.
Higher officials of the Border Guard Bangladesh accompanied him during the time.
