BGB-BSF meeting held in Benapole

A high rank delegation of eight BSF members entered Bangladesh through Beanpole land port to prevent smuggling of drugs, arms, explosives, trafficking of women and to promote brotherly friendship between the two countries on Thursday.  The delegation led by BSF's South Bengal Frontier IPS IG Sri Yagush Bahadur Khorania came to attend a meeting in this regard on the India-Bangladesh Border Management Region Commander level. 

During the visit, Col. Ashraf Hossain, Khulna Sector Commander of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) greeted the Indian delegation with flowers at Benapole No-man’s-land.  Colonel Ashraf Hossain said that the two countries had a meeting at the regional commander level on affaires centering border management. There were discussions on the prevention of smuggling of women, children, drugs and explosives. 

The Indian BSF delegation joined the meeting after lunch at the Hotel Zabeer International in Jashore yesterday. Deputy Director of Jashore BGB Farooq Hossain said the delegation went to visit Khulna BGB sector headquarters after the meeting. They will return to India on March 8 after visiting different places.
