BGB-BSF border meeting held in Kushtia

A border meeting has been held between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the sector commander level. 

The meeting was held at the BGB-BSF Sector Commander level on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm Kushtia Sector Commander Colonel Muhiuddin Jabed Patwari led the meeting on behalf of the BGB and Krishnanagar Sector Comma nder (DIG) Shri Amrish Aria led  the BSF.

Earlier, the BSF delegation arrived at the Darshana border international conference center. At that time BSF's Krishnanagar Sector Commander (DIG) Shri Amrish Aria was welcomed with flowers by BGB's Kushtia Sector Commander Colonel Muhiuddin Jabed Patwari.

After the meeting, Colonel Muhiuddin Jabed Patwari, Sector Commander of BGB Kushtia Sector, said that the border meeting between BGB and BSF held at the level of Sector Commander discussed issues of mutual interest. 

In this, fruitful discussions were held in a friendly atmosphere on various issues including prevention of smuggling at the border, prevention of drug trafficking, stopping illegal crossing of the border, prevention of trafficking of women and children. 

The sector commanders of both the countries also agreed to maintain peace and order on the border. Both sides agreed to resolve the border issue in the light of the Bangladesh-India border agreement.
