Right after the successful completion of the SAFF Championship victory for the second time in Nepal, coach Peter Butler wanted to end the Bangladesh chapter.

Buttler expressed his inclination when there were some remour and misinformation were published that Buttler overlooked the senior players and there were misunderstandings between the junior and senior players.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), who did not make any immediate reaction to Buttler’s statement of willing not to continue as Bangladesh women’s team coach, as a newly elected committee took the charge of the BFF.

However, the BFF made their statement on Buttler’s announcement recently needing him (Buttler) to continue and expecting to win the hat-trick titles in the SAFF Women's Championship under his guidance.

Players of the Bangladesh National Women football team are on leave after winning the SAFF Championship in Nepal while the age group teams have also been given leave.

The Under-20 women national team women team, who are also on leave, scheduled to join the camp by November 29 before starting the training session.

The SAFF Under-20 Women’s Football Championship will take place in Dhaka in February next year. Peter Butler who was entrusted with the charge until the SAFF Championship, has succeeded in retaining the title. Bangladesh played eight matches under Peter last year when they lost two, drew one and won five matches including the SAFF competition.

After taking the charge, Peter focused more on the newcomers. Peter is emphasizing performance in order to build a strong team for the future. For BFF, the Under-20 team will be the biggest tool to become a hat-trick SAFF champion. That is why the BFF wants Buttler to continue as head coach of the women’s team.   It was learned that if the contract with BFF would be renewed, his contact may be extended up to next SAFF Championship.
