Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is interested to host the SAFF Championship scheduled for October 2024.
Bangladesh also want to hosts the women’s U-19 tournament when they are the only country interested to be the host of this age group competition and it is almost confirmed that Bangladesh will have the right to host the tournament when any of the countries yet to shown interest to host women’s U-16 and boys U-17 tournaments.
Meanwhile, there will be five tournaments of SAFF includingnational and age group national teams are scheduled to take place next year. Of them, the most tournaments would be the national sides. Apart from Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan also expressed their interests to hosts the tournament of the national sides.
Bangladesh women is the defending champion of the most prestigious tournament inSouth Asian football.
Besides, women’s tournament, the Nepal and Bhutan want to host the boys U-20 tournament while Sri Lanka are eager to host the tournament.
SAFF General Secretary Anwarul Haque Helal said, “We received applications from some countries who are interested to host the tournaments.
The competition committee will have a meeting to decide the hosts countries.
