Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is determined to complete their domestic competitions timely to march their programs simultaneously with the international schedules following the FIFA and AFC directions.

For the last few years, the BFF has been trying to march their different programs, domestic leagues and tournaments along with the international schedule according to FIFA and AFC instructions when they also have closed the gap.

Sadman Sakib, media manager of the BFF informed the Bangladesh Post on Wednesday that they have been striving for last few years to match their fixtures with the international schedules otherwise they would have to face so many problems.

“As we couldn’t organize our domestic competitions in ideal time following the international schedules, both our national and club football had to face so many problems. Due to failures of maintaining the time line, it turned difficult to run with the FIFA and AFC schedules. Specially, clubs have been facing too many troubles with their foreign recruitments,” Sakib said replying to a query.

“If we make it delay to complete our domestic fixtures, then it clashes with FIFA and AFC windows and domestic fixtures.

Sometimes it become too much difficult to match with the different international tournaments of both national teams, age group national sides and clubs competitions and we have to differ our domestic schedules,” Sakib revealed.

Hopefully, by next two to three years we will be able to complete our domestic programs timely to go with the FIFA and AFC schedules,” Sakib informed Bangladesh Post.

The BFF media manager also said that they are partly success to complete the domestic league and tournaments, as the Independent Cup, Federation Cup and the second tier of the Professional Football League - Bangladesh Champions League (BCL) completed almost in time.

However, the media manager also said that according to fixture the Premier Division Football League (the top tier) would be completed in scheduled time on May 29 with the match between Bashundhara Kings and Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra.
