Experts at a view exchange meeting with journalists on Sunday urged all to be aware of cancer which is curable if detected early. The Diganta Memorial Cancer Foundation that provides support to the poor children with cancer organsied the event at a hotel. A senior urologist Prof Dr Fakhrul Islam, neuroscience specialist Prof Naofeal Islam, cancer survivor Farida Yeasmin Kona and senior vice-chairman of Diganto Foundation Prof ASQM Sadeq spoke at the programme. There is no national cancer registry system in Bangladesh. But available government data suggests lung cancer tops the list of cancer attacking men while breast cancer for women.
