Beneficiaries of one-eleven have also become active with the BNP, said Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud.
He made the statement at the tri-annual conference of Natore district Awami League on Sunday afternoon.
Dr Hasan Mahmud said, “The two-year caretaker government came in power during one-eleven due to BNP's misrule and corruption. At that time Dr Kamal Hossain gave the certificate to the government to stay in power as long as they want.
SUJAN was also with them at that time. Beneficiaries of one-eleven have been vocal again. They are conducting meetings online and spreading confusion.
This is an ominous sign. The leaders and workers of Awami League will deal with this conspiracy unitedly with the people.”
The Broadcasting Minister said that Sheikh Hasina is moving forward with the struggle to ensure the rights of the people of the country despite numerous assassination attempts.
“The politics of BNP is the politics of confusion, propaganda and spreading rumors,” he added.
Hasan Mahmud said, “Mirza Fakhrul only found the Awami League in the search committee formed for the purpose of forming the Election Commission. However, four of them are neutral persons holding constitutional designations.”
