Benajir Ahmed elected NSU trustee board chairman

Freedom fighter Lion Benajir Ahmed, one of the founder members of North South University (NSU) and an eminent industrialist has been elected unanimously as chairman of the board of trustees of North South University recently.

After receiving his Post Graduation degree in Accounting from Dhaka University, Lion Mr Benajir Ahmed started his career as a businessman. He is the Managing Director & CEO of Raymond Group of Industries. He is the current secretary general of Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB).

In 2001, he served as the president of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI). He received Commercially Important Person (CIP) award several times by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh for his outstanding contribution in export sector. 

In 1996-97, Lion Benajir, served as the District Governor of 315 B-1, Bangladesh of Lions Clubs International. He presented at various international forums including United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) along with Honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
