Engineer Belayet Hossain has joined as the chairman of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), said a BPDB notification. He assumed responsibility as the 37th chairman of the BPDB on Thursday, replacing Md Zahurul Haque, who was serving as chairman with additional charge.
Prior to the assignment, Belayet Hossain was working as a member for production of the state-run organisation. Hossain passed BSc in mechanical engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He joined PDB in 1984. He joined PDB as an Assistant Engineer in October 28, 1984.
Belayet was born in Madaripur district on February 1 in 1963. He visited many countries including Russia, China, America, India, France and Italy. Belayet is married and father of four children. He seeks blessings from all.
