BDU to adapt smart curriculum for students

With the aim of building a smart Bangladesh, a smart curriculum is being formulated for the students of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh (BDU) and this curri­culum will be implemented very soon, said Professor Dr Mahfuzul Islam, Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh (BDU).

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mahfuzul Islam said this while speaking as the chief guest at the workshop titled Curriculum Development organized by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh (BDU) in the meeting room of BDU's administrative building in Kaliakore, Gazipur on Saturday (January 21).

The Vice-Chancellor said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh is going to formulate an age-appropriate and smart curriculum to develop the young generation as skilled human resources and entrepreneurs in order to ensure Bangla­desh's participation in the fifth industrial revolution. This curriculum will play a very important role in Bangladesh's participation in the fifth industrial revolution and in building a smart Bangladesh, as the link between industry and academia will be established through this curricu­lum.

Speaking as a special guest at the workshop, Professor Dr Anwar Hossain, Treasurer of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Bangladesh (BDU) said, We are giving importance to the curriculum of BDU on industry-friendly and work-oriented education. We are going to design the curriculum so that the students can enter the career after receiving work-oriented education.

Ashrafuzzaman, Director (Additional Charge) of IQAC and Assistant Professor and Head of Department of Education, Chairman of ICT Department Samchuddin Ahmed and teachers of all departments of the university were present in the workshop.
