BD Pharmacy Council team visits CU

A delegation of Bangladesh Pharmacy Council visited Chittagong University campus on Sunday afternoon. Member of Bangladesh Pharmacy Council and Vice Chancellor of Chattogram Medical University Prof. Dr. Md. Ismail Khan led the five-member delegation.

The delegation held meeting of CUVice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shireen Akhtar at theVC office room and exchanged views.  

At that time CU Pro VC (Academic) Professor Benu Kumar Dey, members of the delegation Radiant Pharmaceuticals Limited Chairman Md. Naser Shahriar Zahedi, Dhaka University Pharmacy Department Chairman Professor Dr. Firoz Ahmed, State University of Bangladesh Pharmacy Department Professor Dr. Md. Hasan Kawsar and  Member-Secretary of Bangladesh Pharmacy Council Muhammad Mahbubul Haque was present.  Apart from this, the founding president of Chattogram University Pharmacy Department Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Hossain, the President of Pharmacy Department Dr. Mohi Uddin and the teaching staff of the department were present.

CU VC said, Chattogram University Pharmacy Department is an independent department.  Despite the limited resources of the university, this department is continuing its education and research activities uninterruptedly while maintaining its identity. 

Considering the current academic and physical infrastructure of CU Pharmacy Department, the delegation can play a significant role in recognizing this department in Bangladesh Pharmacy Council.

 CU Pharmacy Department President Dr. Mohi Uddin toured the various activities of the department to the delegation and gave a speech highlighting the introduction of the department.

 Its mentioned that the members of the delegation expressed their satisfaction after observing various aspects of the curriculum, comprehensive educational system, institutional infrastructure, faculty, laboratory equipment, list of books and other aspects of Chattogram University Pharmacy Department and at the same time they made some recommendations to make the CU Pharmacy Department modern and more prosperous.  do  The CU members assured that they will continue to extend their full cooperation to the Pharmacy Department for recognition in the Pharmacy Council.
