Naval chief says at passing out parade in Khulna

Chief of the Naval Staff of Bangladesh Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury has said that due to an immense contribution and patronization of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh Navy is now well-reputed and well-established as a three-dimensional Naval Forces in the national and international arena. 

With the development of the country, the Naval Forces of the country have also been furnished with sophisticated Warships, Sub-marines, Helicopters, Maritime Patrol air crats and modern warfare gadgets. So the Navy of Bangladesh has turned a modern force globally, he also said. 

Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury was addressing as the chief guest at the Passing Out Parade of 783 novice sailors under 2019 Batch-B of Bangladesh Navy at Titumir Parade Ground of Bangladesh Navy in Khulna on Monday. He watched the parade and took the salutes at the smart march-past. Afterwards, he distributed prizes among successful novice sailors. 

In the function, the Chief of Naval Staff recalled the great contribution of Architect of the Independence and Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the supreme sacrifice of the heroic naval staff and the freedom fighters.  Aurangzeb Chowdhury congratulated all the new entry sailors for their outstanding performance in the service related to national security and prosperity.

The colourful March-past ceremony was attended, among others, by Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff (Personnel) Rear Admiral M. Shahin Iqbal, Regional Commander of Khulna Naval region Rear Admiral Mohammad Musa, military and civil high-ups from Khulna and Jessore regions and the guardians of the novice sailors. 

Jewel Rana won the ' Chief of Navy' medal for his outstanding professional and other excellences and Liton and Rabiul Hasan won the second and the third prizes respectively at the function.

The Naval chief said, short and mid-term plan has been taken to be turned Bangladesh Navy as a dimension force globally by 2030. He urged to build up themselves worthy sailors implementing the education in future professional life which they acquired from the sailors school. He also advised the soldiers to remain careful in maintaining all naval warships and equipment which is sacred deposition of the nation. He called upon them to build up their competency through implementing the knowledge that they acquired from the Navy in their work. Terming Bangladesh identified globally as a role model country for development, he said adding that capability of navy has enhanced numerously and activities to make a time befitting modern dimension navy is under processing. Earlier, the chief guest reviewed the smartly turned out parade and took salute at the march past.
