BD extends flights suspension to all routes except UK

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has extended the period of ongoing suspension of its all international flights except to the UK due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. Biman’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mokabbir Hossain disclosed the information through social media.

He said, “Biman had to suspend its flights bound to 15 out of 17 international destinations one by one due to contain outbreak of the coronavirus.” Biman’s flight suspension to Jeddah, Madina, Riyad, Dammam, Kuwait, Doha, Masqat and Bangkok have been extended until April 5, Abu Dhabi until April 7,

Dubai until April 9, Singapore until April 11, Kathmandu until April 12, Kuala Lumpur until April 14 and Kolkata and Delhi until April 15, an official said. The National flag carrier is still operating its flights on routes to
London and Manchester from the country.

The national flag carrier had also suspended flights on all seven domestic routes for an indefinite period as per the government desperate efforts to holdback mass mobility.
