A four-member delegation of Bangladesh Press Council on Thursday reached Delhi to join the National Press Day observance programme of India on November 16, reports BSS.
At the invitation of chairman of Press Council of India, the Bangladesh delegation will be led by Bangladesh Press Council member and The Daily Observer Editor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, said a press release here.
Other members of the delegation are Press Council members Khandker Maniruzzaman (acting editor of Dainik Sangbad) and Abdul Majid (joint secretary general of Bangladesh Union of Journalists) and Bangladesh Press Council Secretary Md Shah Alam. The delegation will also attend a conference of press councils of SAARC countries. It will return Dhaka on November 18.
