Bangladeshi apparel exporters are receiving tremendous response from the European buyers at the four-day long Texworld/Apparel Sourcing Paris, organised by Messe Frankfurt.
The event, the largest of such expo, that started on September 16 will conclude today.
Ziaur Rahman, the merchandiser of Ayasha & Galeya Fashion Ltd, one of the participating companies from Bangladesh, said, it's our third time that we are exhibiting here. We are getting huge inquiries from European buyers. We got some good contacts of French buyers in last edition and now they are our regular buyers.
Ms Aleya Khanam Joti, Chairman of DD Sourcing Ltd shared her views about the fair and said ‘we found good number of buyers last year from Finland and this time we are excited to have some quality buyers this time as well.’
A total of 16 Bangladeshi apparel and fabric manufacturers are participating in the fair in Paris this year.
Texworld Paris, the undisputed leader when it comes to sourcing for fabrics, components, trimmings and materials for the clothing industry, the Texworld Paris show remains an exceptional event for anyone involved in creating fashion. For European and global buyers as a whole, it constitutes a real hub for finding inspiration and for procurement.
Combined with Apparel Sourcing and Leatherworld, a total of 1,799 exhibitors participating in the September 2019 edition. By now the fair recorded more than 29,000 visitors from around the world.
Organisers informed that visitors are coming from European countries remained loyal to the show, which is a good reflection of Europeans’ keen interest in the exhibitors at both of the shows.
The arrival this year of workwear, for which there is a growing market. Previously organized alongside JET Expo, the event for textile care, it is logical for Vêt’Image to be integrated into the segments at Apparel Sourcing Paris, they said in a statement.
Fair is displaying a global range of fashion products from the major manufacturing countries of Bangladesh, China, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Korea, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Pakistan.
Two fashion shows of Bangladesh were held on Wednesday.
First fashion show displayed products of Bangladeshi exhibitors taking part in the show under the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Pavilion and the second one displayed the collection of Zaber & Zubair.
Bangladesh is having direct exhibitors and a national pavilion organized by The Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh.
Exhibitors from Bangladesh participated at the fair in fabric category include Evince Textile, Momtex Expo, Regent Textile, Zaber & Zubair Fabrics, while from denim category they are Argon Denims, Chittagong Denim Mills, NZ Denim and from apparel categoty are Ayesha & Galeya Fashions , Fahim Apparels, Fashion group//S&S Swimwear Limited, GMS composite knitting ind .ltd/ Elham Sourcing, JM Knitwear, Pakiza Knit Composite Ltd, Pacific Exort & Euro Fashion Mart, Synergies Sourcing, Toads Printing.
The next Texworld/Apparel Sourcing will also be held from 10 – 13 February 2020. African Sourcing and Fashion Week will be held in November in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Texworld/Apparel Sourcing USA will be held in January 2020.
