The leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) is assisting Sarishabari farmers in cutting paddy. Md Asaduzzaman Babu, general secretary of Upazila Chhatra League along with 20 other leaders and activists of the ruling party's student wing joined hands with farmers in Sarishabari upazila of Jamalpur district to cut the ripen Irri-Boro paddy.
It is learned that they have helped Abdul Khaleq, a poor farmer of Natherpara in Aona Union of the upazila, by cutting, tying and even threshing the paddy. In this regard, BCL leader Md Asaduzzaman Babu said, “We are standing beside the helpless and poor farmers as per the directive of the Prime Minister and by the instructions of local Member of Parliament and State Minister for Information Dr Alhaj Murad Hasan. Farmers across the country are in great danger at this time.
Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League are working in different districts of the country to help the impoverished farmers. As part of it, we are also cooperating with the farmers as part of it.”
