Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) brought out a colourful procession on Dhaka University campus marking December 30, the first anniversary of the eleventh parliamentary election, as Democracy Victory Day. On this day of 2018, the Bangladesh Awami League won with an absolute majority in the polls. Under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, the people gave their support to the prosperous Bangladesh in the spirit of the War of Liberation.
On this occasion, Chhatra League brought out a peaceful festive procession from Madhur canteen led by Chhatra League's acting president Al Nahian Khan Joy and acting general secretary Lekhak Bhattacharya. The procession ended through a brief rally in the Raju sculpture of TSC circling the entire campus.
At the rally, Acting President of the BCL Al Nahian Khan Joy said, "The victory of democracy has begun through the December 30 elections. In this election, the people of Bangladesh have given voting rights to Sheikh Hasina for the third time in a row.” As a result, Bangladesh has become a role model of development today. Therefore, as the day is a victory day of democracy for the Awami League, so is the Chhatra League's partner as a fraternal organization, he added.
Acting general secretary of the BCL Lekhak Bhattacharya said, "If Sheikh Hasina's victory was not conquered; terrorists, corrupt and libertarians would have won. Sheikh Hasina's victory marked the victory of democracy. Therefore, we celebrate the day as the victory day of democracy. ”
Dhaka University Chhatra League President Sanjit Chandra Das, General Secretary Saddam Hossain, Dhaka Metropolitan North President. Leaders of several Chhatra League units, including Ibrahim Hossain and President of the South Saidur Rahman Hearts, were there.
