BCL protests opposition to installing Bangabandhu’s sculpture

Jhenaidah district unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) staged demonstration protesting opposition to installing the sculptures of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mijibur Rahman. 

They brought out an agitation procession from Government Keshab Chandra (KC) Collage campus on Monday. It paraded main roads in the town. Later, a brief rally was held at Jhenidah post office intersection.

MP from Jhenidah-1 constituency and president Jhenaidah Awami League Abdul Hyee general secretary and Jhenaidah municipality mayor Saidul Karim Mintu, BCL district unit president Rana Hamid, general secretary Abdul Awal among others spoke there.

The speakers said that a vested quarter is active and doing business of politics with the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mijibur Rahman to fulfill their evil will on the soil of independent Bangladesh after about half a century of liberation. 

They called upon the activists of BCL and other front organisations to prevent the evil forces to avail the taste of the liberated Bangladesh where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the success daughter of Bangabandhu has been running the nation towards a developed and modern Bangladesh.
