BCL leader found dead at father-in-law’s residence

A leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) was found hanging at his father -in-law’s resident at Gazipur village in Benapole of Jashore on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Rabiul Islam Sumon, 24, joint secretary of Benapole municipality unit of BCL and son of Abdul Mannan of Durgapur village of Benapole.

Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Benapole Port Police Station, said Sumon went to the resident on Monday morning.  His father in law's family  informed that Sumon committed suicide by hanging himself.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Jashore General Hospital for autopsy. Whatever it is murder or not can't be said until the autopsy report, said the OC.

Victim’s father Abdul Mannan alleged that Sumon was killed by his in-laws, He was killed in a planned way and his body was hanged to make it appear that he committed suicide.
