In protest of terrorist attacks all over the country, Chhatra League held a silent protest and display of black flag on Saturday.
Chhatra League president Rezwanul Haque Choudhury and general secretary Golam Rabbani presided over the protest and leaders of the Central Executive Parliament, Dhaka University, Dhaka Metropolitan North and South Branch took part as well.
The procession started from DU Madhur Canteen and ended at the Raju Memorial Sculpture. The protesters demanded the complete elimination of terrorism and militancy from the country.
Chhatra League leaders said that the attacks carried out all over the country on 17th August, 2005 was an open display of hostility from the militant groups. They are corroding the image of Bangladesh to the rest of the world and endangering the lives of all Bangladeshis.
