Chhatra League DU chapter Literature Secretary SM Rakib Siraji said, "The Daily has distorted the history of our independence and liberation war. By calling Kader Molla a martyr who has been given the title of butcher before, we believe that this outlet has denied the independence of Bangladesh."
"We demand that the administration take punitive action against the editors, the reporters and those involved," he added.
