75th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Chhatra league (BCL) Jhenaidah d8istrict unit was observed in Jhenaidah on Wednesday morning. BCL Jhenaidah district unit brought out a rally from Government Keshab Chandra (KC) College campus and ended at Jheaidah post office intersection parading the main roads in the town. Later a brief discussion was held there.
BCL source said Jhenaidah-1 seat lawmaker also president Bangladesh Awami League Jhenaidah district committee Abdul Hyee attended there as chief guest. He inaugurated the founding anniversary programme cutting a cake. Party’s district committee general secretary Saidul Karim Mintu, ex organizing secretary M Abdul Hakim Ahmed, office secretary Asaduzzaman Asad, Juba League convener Shafiqul Islam Shimul, municipality unit Awami League organizing secretary Khairul Islam, BCL district unit ex president Shaqil Ahmed and Rana Hamid among others spoke. BCL district unit president Sazib Hossain and general secretary Al Imran conducted the event. Later the chief guest had inaugurated the day cutting cake.
In his speech as chief guest the lawmaker said BCL is the most beloved organization of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and he had led the students’ front to press home the demands of the future generation. The organization activists should play role to fight against any odd and fulfill the dream of Bangabandhu under the guidance of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for a developed country as she has been designing.
