Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the Initiative Bangladesh Center of Excellence (BCE) of the Chattogram Chamber and the Bureau of Business Research (BBR), the research arm of the CU, was held at the Chamber office of the World Trade Center on Saturday.
Chairman of BCE, Chamber President Mahbubul Alam, Treasurer, Vice President of the Chamber Syed Mohammad Tanvir, CU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shirin Akhtar on behalf of Bureau of Business Research and BBR Chairman Prof. Dr. Selim Uddin signed the agreement.
Among the senior officials of Chattogram Chamber, BCE and CU Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Benu Kumar Dey, Dean Faculty of Business Administration Prof. SM Salamat Ullah Bhuiyan, President of Accounting Department Prof. Dr. Md. Ayub Islam, Finance Department President Prof. Jannat Ara Parveen were present.
CU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shirin Akhtar said that the MoU would help Chattogram University students to prepare for competitive job market by imparting training in more practical business and economics.
Mahbubul Alam, President of the Chamber, said that the Bangladesh Chamber of Excellence was set up by the Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry to provide assistance to the private sector on the basis of information and knowledge.
He thanked Chattogram University for signing the MoU with BCE. Conduct joint research activities, training sessions, business facilitation projects, seminars and exchange of overall knowledge and information on the basis of Memorandum of Understanding between BBR-CU and BCE-CCCI.
