Due to global pandemic coronavirus, all forms of cricket and cricketing activities in the country were shut down since last March. Like other institutions, the administrative work of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) was conducted from home.
However, the BCB then allowed cricketers to practice individually after the situation became somewhat normal. But once again, the country's cricket governing body has instructed its employees and staff to do its administrative work from home.
The BCB, keeping their employee's safety in mind, took the decision to instruct their employees to work from home for a week.
BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujon confirmed the matter to media on Tuesday. He said the corona situation has not yet been brought under control in Bangladesh, so the decision was taken to alert BCB staff.
This has been done so that no one becomes reluctant to follow the hygiene rules. Employees have been instructed to work from home for the current week.
The chief executive said, “It’s for overall safety. You can say it is a part of our plan. People usually become complacent when they get used to a habit.
If someone has symptoms, it is a matter of concern. That is why this warning. However, we will start office again from Saturday.”
BCB will start working from the office again from next week. However, even if the BCB is closed, the cricketers’ individual practice will continue.
