Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] official said that they are ready to give any logistic support to the government, they are also ready provide Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium to be set up as an isolation centre for the treatment of coronavirus patients if the government wants, report agencies.
BCB director and media committee chairman Jalal Yunus said that the board is ready to provide the national stadium as well as the academies to the government, the moment they ask for it.
“If at any time the government thinks that they will take any logistic support from us, we have said before that we are ready. We are also ready to support financially. Not only the field, we will also provide the academy if the government wants. We are ready to give our support the moment government want from us,” Jalal told to a leading news media on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday Jalal said to the reporters that they have decided to collect fund on the behalf of the board. Though they are yet to finalize the amount. “We have decided to collect fund on behalf of the board though we are yet to finalize the amount,” Jalal told reporters on Thursday.
“We are going through a crisis at the moment and there are many who are trying to contribute for the society and the country from their respective position. BCB has also decided to contribute to the cause. The amount and where to donate the fund will soon be decided,” he said.
