Detective branch police in a raid recovered huge narcotics and ammunition from a car of Bangladesh Cricket Doard (BCB) from Sanarpar area under Shiddirganj police station in Narayaganj.
Police in a brief on Saturday evening claimed that a private car bearing number Gha-13-8375 of Shawkat Aziz Russel alias Partex Russel who is director of BCB, seized from Sanrpar area and recovered 28 rounds bullets of pistol, 1200 pieces yaba tablets, 24 bottles wine, 48 cane beers and cash taka 22 thousand from the car. The car but car driver arrested Sumon,29, primarily admits that the recovered all drug are of Russel.
Police conducted raid on November 2 early hours and held media brief on the evening of the same day.
Sub-inspector Abdul Jalil Matubbar said that the seized car’s driver misbehaved with our police super’s car driver in Dhaka when police car returning to Narayanganj after he left police super at his house in the capital city.
Two criminal cases were recorded with Shiddirganj police station under narcotics and firearms act accusing Russel.
None is above the law, police super Harunar Rashid said in his office media briefing.
