The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed deep shock and sorrow over the fire incident at a commercial-residential building on Bailey Road in Dhaka on Thursday night. .
At least 46 people died in the blaze that broke out at a seven-story building in the city.
In a message, BCB prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed souls of those who died in the fire incident and expressed sympathy to their bereaved family members.
President Sahabuddin conveyed condolences to the bereaved families of the victims.
Cricketers also expressed their shock about the incident. Former Captain Tamim Iqbal said, “We must have a change in mentality; otherwise, accidents will occur again and again.”
Pacer Taskin Ahmed said, “We are deeply shocked over the fire incident at Baily Road.”
