Bangladesh Cricket Board has already two board meetings with the newly elected president Aminul Islam Bulbul was on the chair when the third meeting under him will take place today.
The board meeting will discuss on number of agendas when to fix the schedule of upcoming BPL and preliminary discussion with the Test captaincy issues will get the priority.
It was learned that some importance decision may come form the today’s board meeting, specially, the timing of staging the BPL may be decided today. Apar from that, the decisions would come from different committees will be given importance in the board meeting.
Meanwhile, Nazmul Shanto stepped down from the captaincy in Sri Lanka, there will be a preliminary discussion of selecting new captain.
The meeting will also discuss about organising the next matches, including HP and the tour program of cricketers under the Game Development Department.
According to the decision of the second board meeting last month, BCB celebrated the silver Jubilee of obtaining the Test status on June 26. under the silver jubilee occcasion, BCB also organised different programmes. Part of the celebration of the 25th year of Test status, in the week-long program BCB organised six-a-side cricket, pace bowlers and spinners hunting across the country and also arranged a reunion party of the cricketers, specially the players of the inaugural Test match at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
