Parvez Tamal Said, NRBC Bank wants to connect with all development work of the country with the aim to contribute in the national development and economic growth.
Tamal was addressing a 'Meet the Press' organised by his bank at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel on Thursday to exchange share the recent development, problems and prospects of his bank with media representatives.
Expressing hope that the NRB Commercial Bank will be able to maintain a $2 billion balance sheet within this year, Tamal said they have been engaged in serious drive to expand the network.

"Proper application of automation, Fintech etc help a lot to ensure corporate governance, we are laying due importance on that. We have initiated and introduced the idea of sub-branch in the country through the approval of Bangladesh Bank which was a successful move, because now most of the public sector and private sector banks are opening sub-branches which significantly contributes to expand banking services to the doorstep of common people across the country", Chairman added.
He said, during this pandemic situation NRBC Bank not only stands beside SME Entrepreneurs but also farmers of the country. NRBC Bank always provides state-of-the-art technology based services to the customers, he also added.
While addressing, the managing Director of NRBC Bank said the number of loan seekers from CMSME sector are hige in number that's why it take time for sanctioning that cause delay to meet the targets for banks to distribute loan in this head.
"But our board is active and always inspire us guide us so that CMSMEs are facilitated and to meet the set target in this head within the time frame", he added.
He urged the central bank to take special and long term measure to address the covid impacted issues in banking sector specially in repayment of the loan.
He mentioned that some of significant services of NRBC Bank include Home Loan 999, cash transaction facility, remittance service, fund transfer, utility bill (Gas, Water, Electricity) collection, BRTA Fees Collection, Land Registration Fees Collection, all kinds of card services, internet Banking.
Moreover, all of these services are available in the Mobile App ``RBC PLANET’’. NRBC Bank’s client can transfer money from their NRBC Bank Account to any bKash number using ``NRBC PLANET’’.
NRBC Bank has laid out a strong foundation of 79 branches, 319 Sub-branches including 274 land registration sub-branches and 28 numbers of BRTA bill collection centers.
