As a part of ‘Genetic Diversity and Breeding Practices’ course, students of Animal Husbandry Faculty of level-3 of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) visited country’s renowned dairy industry American Dairy Limited on Thursday. Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics of Animal Husbandry Faculty organised the programme.
Departmental head of Animal Breeding and Genetics Prof Dr Md Ruhul Amin, lecturers Md Younus Ali and Md Rafikul Islam were also present at the programme.
Prof Dr Md Ruhul Amin said, ‘This programme will help the students to gain practical knowledge on genetic diversity and animal breeding. They can relate theoretical knowledge with practical activities. Applying their acquired knowledge they will become a successful breeder in future.’
Md Rafikul Islam said, ‘We are trying to produce quality graduates. This programme helps to clarify their academic knowledge on genetic diversity and breeding practices.’
