Bangladesh Ansar VDP Academy, Safipur, Gazipur on Friday of the 22nd Batch (Male) New Battalion Ansar 6 months basic training parade was held. Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, MP was present as the Chief Guest and saluted the procession. Also present on the occasion were Md Akhtar Hossain, Senior Secretary, Department of Public Security, Ministry of Home Affairs and Maj. Gen. Mizanur Rahman Shamim, Director General, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force, BP, OSP, NDC, PSC. Also present on the occasion were Additional Director General of the Force, Commandant, Deputy Director General (Administration), Deputy Director General (Operations) and senior officials of the headquarters and academy.
It may be mentioned that 442 newly recruited battalion Ansar participated in the concluding parade after receiving 6 (six) months basic training. At the beginning of the parade, the chief guest visited the parade in a well-equipped open jeep. The Director General of Forces and the Parade Commander were present with the chief guest. Later, the trainees marched in 6 rows and greeted the chief guest. Afterwards the chief guest home minister Asaduzzaman Khan, presented the award among the meritorious and smart trainees. In that basic training- Md. Sagar Ali Best Drill, Shariful Islam Best Firer and Md. Gulzar Ali Choukas Trainee Battalion Ansar won the first place.
At the end of the award presentation, the chief guest trainee gave instructive speech to the members of Naveen Battalion Ansar. He said that you will take Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force to a unique height by utilizing the trained knowledge, talent, labor and skills. As a proud member of the disciplined forces, he will play a strong role in establishing this force in a dignified and strong position. He further said that you will be able to set a shining example in the overall development of the country and the nation by carrying out the spirit of liberation war and keeping the reputation and image of the force intact. He also thanked all the officers and trainers involved in the training, including the Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and the village defense force, for organizing and conducting the training in an orderly manner. The parade ended with an organized march past.
