Bashundhara Group stands by Didarul Alam’s family

Bashundhara Group stood by the family of Didarul Alam, a late photojournalist from Chittagong.

 Sayem Sobhan Anvir, Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, handed over a cheque for Tk 10 lakh to the daughter of the senior photojournalist of Bangladesh Pratidin Chattogram office.  He praised the work of the media personnel of Chittagong and said that Bashundhara Group will be with the people of Chattogram.

 This large industrial family of the country is working to create new jobs as well as improve the quality of life of the people, Anvir said. 

He said the special role and cooperation of the media personnel is important in achieving the proper use and potential of the resources of Chattogram. The positive attitude of the media personnel also accelerates the national progress. Such an attitude of the media workers in public-private initiatives is like an incentive. 

He also mentioned the dedicated role of the late journalist Didarul Alam.Later, he conveyed his condolences toDidarulAlam's wife Dilruba Begum Dipti and schoolgirl Samanta Didar Dighi and wished her future success.

NaeemNizam, editor of Bangladesh Pratidin and chief executive of News 24, said that Bashundhara Group was and will remain by the side of media personnel at any cost. The check was handed over at Bashundhara MD House in Bashundhara residential area.

Rangdhanu Group Chairman Rafiqul Islam Rafiq, Bashundhara Group Media Advisor Mohammad Abu Tayeb, Kaler Kantho Editor Emdadul Haque Milon, News Twentyfour News Head Rahul Raha, Bangla News Twentyfour Editor Jewel Mazhar and East West Media officials were present at the programme. President of Chittagong Journalists Union Mohammad Ali, General Secretary M Shamsul Islam and others were also present.

Didarul Alam was a member of the executive committee of the BFUJ-Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists and president of the Chittagong Photojournalist Association.
