The two day-long Basanta boran and Pitha Utsab was held in Panchagarh. The festival was inaugurated by Naimuzzaman Bhuiyan, MP, from Panchagrah -1 seat on Mokbul Rahman Govt College premises.
Among others, Principal of the College Delwar Hossain, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Aminul Islam, Panchagarh Poura Mayor Jakiya Khatun, teachers and students of the college were present there.
The festival was being organized for the last five years. A charming cultural college programme was arranged with Basanta bandona. Different kinds of winter pithas were exhibited and sold in the festival.
