The closing ceremony of trainer’s training on “Isolation, Multiplication and Formulation of Microbial Pesticides, Beauveria and Metarhizium” was held at seminar room of BARI on Monday.
Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) and Feed the Future Bangladesh Integrated Pest Management Activities (IPMA) jointly arranged the training. A total of eighteen personnel from home and abroad participated in the trainer’s training which is funded by the USAID Mission, Bangladesh, says a BARI press release.
BARI Director General Dr. Debasish Sarker was present at the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Chief Scientific Officer and Head of Plant Pathology division of BARI Dr. Md. Matiar Rahman presided over the function.
Senior Consultant, CIMMYT-Bangladesh and Former Director (Planning & Evaluation) of BARI Dr. Syed Nurul Alam, Director (Support & Services) Dr. Ferdouse Islam, Director (Planning & Evaluation) Dr. Dilwar Ahmed Choudhury and Country Program Manager, IPM Activity, Virginia Tech, Madhab Chandra Das were present as special guests.
Certificates were distributed among the participants at the closing ceremony of the programme.
