The On Field Research Division, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Kishoreganj organized a training and farmers rally on ‘Modern Technology of Floating Agriculture’ on Saturday 27 August 2022. Honorable Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Mr. Md. Sayedul Islam was present as the chief guest and inaugurated the program. The program is funded by ‘Research, Extension and Popularization of Vegetables and Spices Cultivation on Floating Bed (BARI Part)’ project.
BARI Director (Planning and Evaluation) Dr. Apurba Kanti Choudhury Presided over the function while Executive Director of the Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA), Road Transport and Bridges Ministry (Additional Secretary) Mr. Sabiha Parveen, Director General of BARI Dr. Debasish Sarker, Additional Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Dhaka Region Mr. S M Sohrab Uddin, Chief Scientific Officer of BARI’s On Field Research Division Dr. Md. Mazharul Anwar, were present as special guest.
Principal Scientific Officer of Regional Agricultural Research Center, Barisal and Project Director of ‘Research, Extension and Popularization of Vegetables and Spices Cultivation on Floating Bed (BARI Part)’ project Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman Talukder gave a welcome speech on the occasion.
The key-note paper of the program was presented by Senior Scientific Officer of the On Field Research Division, BARI, Kishoreganj Dr. Mohammad Mohiuddin.
