Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) and Feed the future Bangladesh Integrated Pest Management Activities (IPMA) jointly organised a trainer’s training on Monday (June 12).
The training titled “Isolation, Multiplication and Formulation of Microbial Pesticides, Beauveria and Metarhizium” was held at BARI seminar room.
Eighteen personnel from various countries, including Bangladesh, participated in the trainer’s training funded by the USAID Mission, Bangladesh.
BARI Director General Dr. Debasish Sarker was present at the seminar as the chief guest in the opening ceremony of the trainer’s training. Chief Scientific Officer and Head of Plant Pathology division of BARI Dr. Md. Matiar Rahman presided over the function while Director (Support & Services) Dr. Ferdouse Islam, Director (Planning & Evaluation) Dr. Dilwar Ahmed Choudhury were present as special guests.
And Country Program Manager, IPM Activity, Virginia Tech, Mr. Madhab Chandra Das delivered a welcome address on the occasion.
