Bank Asia declares 10pc dividends

The 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Bank Asia Limited was held at Dhaka Ladies Club in the capital recently.

The bank has declared 10 percent (5 percent cash, 5 percent stock) dividend for the year 2018 at the 20th AGM, said a press release.

As a result, the paid-up capital of the Bank would increase to Tk.1165.91 crore. A. Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of the Bank presided over the meeting where Mohd. Safwan Choudhury, vice chairman, Md. Nazrul Huda, vice chairman and chairman of Risk Management Committee, Rumee A Hossain, chairman of Executive Committee, Mashiur Rahman, chairman of Audit Committee, Md. Shahjahan Bhuiyan, Ashraful Haq Chowdhury, Dilwar H Choudhury, Maj. Gen. (retd.) Mohammad Matiur Rahman, Enam Chowdhury, directors of the bank, Md. Arfan Ali, president & managing director and S. M. Anisuzzman, company secretary were present.

A large number of shareholders attended the AGM. They expressed satisfaction over the overall performance of the Bank and approved the accounts for the year 2018.
