Bank Asia, pioneering in Agent Banking services in Bangladesh, on Saturday celebrated its 6th Agent Banking Anniversary through the country as Agent Banking Day in a festive manner. To mark the day, a huge rally was organized at Bhabanipur High School ground in Sirajdikhan Upazila of Munshiganj district today (18 January, 2020).
Mr Mohiuddin Ahmed, Chairman of Sirajdikhan Upazila Munshiganj was chief guest at the program while Mr. Sarder Akhter Hamed, Senior Executive Vice President & Head of Channel Banking, Bank Asia was special guest.
Mr. Hossain Ahmed, Executive Vice President & CIO, ICT Division, Mr. Ahsan Ul Alam, Senior Vice President, Mr. Zakir Hossain Bhuiyain, First Vice President (FVP), Mr. Bipul Sarker, FVP, Bank Asia, Mr. Mohammad Islam Sheikh, 1st Agent of Bank Asia and Mr. Rofiqul Islam Dudu, Chairman of Joinshar Union Parishad were, among others, addressed the program.
The days program started with releasing balloons in the air at Bhabanipur. Loan beneficiaries of Agent Banking platform displayed their products at the same venue. The program turned into a festive mood with enthusiastic gathering of school students, children, rural folk indiscriminate gender and profession. Crests were handed over to different local dignitaries recognizing their support in establishing agent banking service in rural areas since its inception.
Besides, colorful processions were brought out in different divisional and district towns throughout the country. Agent points also arranged customer gathering and cake cutting.
