Banglar Gayen gets new support

Banglar Gayen is a competition that is bringing forth youth singer well versed in singing folk songs. Recently, on October 22, Bengal Cement formally joined this reality show at a signing ceremony in Hotel Sonargaon in the capital.

The signing ceremony was inaugurated by RTV CEO Syed Ashik Rahman and Bengal Cement COO Asadul Haque Sufiani.

RTV chief executive Syed Ashik Rahman said, “Bangla folk songs are the lifeblood of Bangla songs. I am very optimistic that the people of Bangladesh are going to get something new and something good. 

When people in Corona were drowning in despair from home quarantine, I started thinking; we started something that can involve a lot of people with joy. That is the beginning of this competition. We are overwhelmed by the response we have received from all over the world, including Bangladesh, since the competition started in June this year. 

The judges selected three hundred out of four thousand contestants. I congratulate each of them. The final episode will start with them from where we will get the icon of Bangladesh who will enrich Bengali folk songs in a new way. Special thanks to Bengal Cement for joining us on this auspicious occasion.”  

Asadul Haque Sufiani, CEO of Bengal Cement, said, “RTV has always focused on our culture. They are also very diligent and active in developing new talents. Banglar Gayen is such a programme. We are very happy and proud to be associated with the show.”

Present on the occasion were Banglar Gayen Judge Music Director and Artist SI Tutul, Music Director Shauquat Ali Imon and Music Director and Artiste Ibrar Tipu, RTV Head of Program Dewan Shamsur Rakib, Deputy Head of Administration Mohammad Masudul Amin among others. Singer Sohag Masud, Baul artist Shafi Mandal and many others were present.
